Two or more instances of nginx running in the same environment can cause performance and maintainability issues.

This rule will check the number of nginx processes running in the current environment.

Having a single master instance will be more efficient, loading features like MIME maps once, will also reduce the security perimeter and ease updates and configuration management.

Stop and uninstall unused instances of nginx ensuring the current environment have one master process running. If necessary, move these instances to other servers and use a Load Balancer to distribute loads and optimize performance.
